My photography sits alongside my research practice. Produced during fieldwork, international collaborations, and periods of travel, these images function as visual field notes, documenting the spaces, encounters, and everyday observations through which knowledge is produced.

I work primarily with analogue film because it encourages a slower and more deliberate form of observation. The limitations of the medium invite careful attention to composition, timing, and presence. Rather than producing large quantities of images, film creates opportunities for reflection, uncertainty, and curiosity.

Across projects in Ghana, Palestine, Somalia, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Mexico, and more, photography has become a way of engaging critically with place, participation, mobility, and representation. The resulting images are not intended as objective records, but as situated observations that reveal something about both the environments being photographed and the researcher's experience of encountering them.
