A model for entrepreneurial development in the creative industries was developed through my PhD research that concluded in November 2018. This model is a theory connected to cultural entrepreneurship that has immense potential for future research in its testing and application.
About the model
This research is based on grounded theory data collection and analysis from a wide range of cultural entrepreneurs across the UK and beyond. The model combines three bodies of knowledge: value constellations or ecosystems; the quadruple bottom line of the creative industries integrating economic prosperity, social change, artistic innovation and institutional development; and Cohendet's theory of the three key players in the creative industries: the underground, middleground and upperground.

Applying the model
