SELECTED ILLUSTRATIONS

These drawings were created predominantly in response to travels around the UK and Europe from 2010-2012. The bold, bright colours depict the intensity and excitement of traveling around a new continent for the first time and the stark insecurity and awareness of coming from growing up in a very different place.

SELECTED PAINTINGS

This selection of paintings span from 2007-2017. The first four come from a series entitled, 'We Teach' about my years teaching in the Chicago Public School system, mostly in inner city schools on the south and west sides.

The second two came from a collaboration with a Greek photographer who was documenting the economic struggles from the economic crisis of 2012.

The last three were painted with house paint, depicting everyday scenes and colours in non-traditional ways.

The ones to follow are a combination of studies and paintings from 21 Artists projects.
